Bloom where you are planted

I am moving...Not to my dream house, and not back home where I want to be. I am moving to a house I don't even like really. But it works So, here I go.
And my life is in a place I am not really happy with.Nothing seems right.Everything is a little off somehow.
There is a lot of work ahead.
I am not sure why God has me here. The past two years are a bit of a blur. For sure he has been carrying me.
Because I have been to weak to carry myself.
I can't really explain it ...but I feel as if He is planting me in this place to grow.
I saw this poem and it rang so true.

Master Gardener, help me be
Content with where You’ve planted me;
You carefully place each seed you sow,
And choose the soil to make it grow,
A shady nook or sunlit plot,
A wooded glen or garden spot;
And when you send the storm and shower,
You give me strength and inner power;
All things come that You might be
Glorified, my God, in me;
And so I’ll lift my flowers high,
To cheer and bless each passerby;
And may they see within my face
The beauty of Your love and grace;
So help me, Lord, to ever be
Blooming where You planted me.

Care Giver................

As I was reading these verses today, It got me thinking. In my life I have almost always been the care giver. Even as a child I had to care for myself. My Mother was busy and emotionally removed. My Husband has never been good at that roll, he cares for me but is not a care giver.  And of course,  I am the care giver of my children.
The only person who has ever filled the care giving role in my life has been my friend Tracy. She started out as my employee,  but before I new it she was so much more. She cared for my home, my kids, and me. To this day, although she is not in my employ, she is my friend and gives care for me. She prays for me, she goes above and beyond to make sure my heart is right.
Caring for some one in the care giving roll is to take action, to give, to care. It is such an important roll. When we are caring for someone we are doing God's work. When we feel a strong urge to help and to give care for another person, I believe that is straight from the Lord. It is spirit led.
I am only posting two verses today.  I love these verses. Because it tell me HE cares. I know that as I care for people and when people care for me.
Give your "care giver " a hug today. And remember all Love comes from above.

Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Through the Blood of Christ.............

These verses are a reminder that through the Blood of Christ we serve a Living God .

 Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.

Hebrews 9:14
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

1 Peter 1:2
who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

1 John 5:6
This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

Still Struggling with Anxious thoughts?

In all of the years of being saved. The biggest thing I have always struggled with is my mind. My thought wonder..rarely to a good place. I struggle and struggle to "right my mind". I know how important it is to stay in faith. But of my mind wonders. I think that's why this blog is so important to me. It gives me a chance to right my mind in the word. Like doing exercise for my mind muscle.
Here are some verse to "work out" to today.

Psalm 13:2
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?

Psalm 139:23
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

1 Corinthians 2:11
For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

Ephesians 4:22
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
Ephesians 4:23
to be made new in the attitude of your minds;

The Living God......

Something you may not know about me....  I am a bit of news and political junkie.
I like to know whats going on in the world. I try not to let it effect my heart. It is a struggle though, if you let to much of the world in your spirit can be effected.
There is a particular show I like to watch for the politics, but the host however is a unbeliever, he baffles me. I always think how can such a smart guy not believe. Even before I was saved..I believed.  I just had not connected.  Maybe unbelievers think of God in the abstract. As a theory not as a Living God.
I believe in the living God.
I have felt Him. I have prayed and he has answered.  I have mourned and He has comforted.
I have been Lost....Then found!!
Anyway these verses are a reminder of the true Living God!!

Psalm 42:2
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Psalm 84:2
My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Matthew 16:16
Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

2 Corinthians 3:3
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

1 Timothy 4:10
(and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.

When we Need an Answer...

I have some big questions lately . Seems like every area of my life is in uncertainty . I could really use an answer or two..... I am praying for that.
Here is hoping if you have a question.....It will be answered today!

Ezra 8:23
So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.

Psalm 4:1
Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.

Psalm 38:15
I wait for you, O LORD; you will answer, O Lord my God.

Mark 11:22
"Have faith in God," Jesus answered.

John 6:29
Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

Feeling my Weaknesses......

Do you ever have one of those days.....Where all you see are your own weaknesses. I had one of those days today. I felt like I was looking into a magnifying mirror. Where all I could see were the flaws and imperfections.  I needed to step back and see the whole being and remember.....

His Power Is Made perfect in my Weakness

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

1 Corinthians 15:43
it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;

Gift of God.....

God has showered his believers in gifts. Gifts that make the days good. The gift of spirit, that leads us. The gift of grace, that that let's us know we are his. The gift of eternal life, that gives us perspective. Just to name a few.
What gift do you cherish most??
Be thankful today for all God's gifts. Amen

Ecclesiastes 5:19
Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work—this is a gift of God.

Romans 5:15
But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Peter 4:10
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.

Got Light ???

Are you like I am ? Do you see a lot of  darkness in the world today?  All around me I see folks who are sad, rude, angry and seem to have no trouble lying. I find home a very nice place to be after being out in the world. At least most the people here love me . But seriously. People are walking in darkness. It makes me want to scream. There is a way out!!  It is in the Bible.
O.K. enough ranting. I guess the best thing to do is be an example of walking in the light and hope someone follows.
Have a Happy Sunday
Got Light?

 Psalm 56:13
For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

God of Wonders Part Duex....

If you missed it here's the first one.

Our God is a God of Wonders!! There have been times in my life I thought surely God had forsaken me. I have been in the darkness, deep in the darkness. But by some miracle the Lord has lead me to the light . By prayer, faith, and reading the word. Wonders emerge. Speaking the word releases the spirit around you. Speak out by faith . Believe!!! Believe!!!

 Exodus 15:11
"Who among the gods is like you, O LORD ? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes

A little something extra today

While I was studying today I came across this and thought I would share. Sometimes it's just time to simply PRAISE!
Romans 11:33-36
Praise to God
33 How very rich are God's wisdom and knowledge!
How he judges is more than we can understand!
The way he deals with people is more than we can know!
34 "Who can ever know what is in the Lord's mind?
Or who can ever give him advice?" —(Isaiah 40:13)
35 "Has anyone ever given anything to God,
so that God has to pay him back?" —(Job 41:11)
36 All things come from him.
All things are directed by him.
All things are for his good.
May God be given the glory forever! Amen.

Waiting is the Hardest Part......

I have been doing a lot of waiting on the Lord  the last couple days. He has moved for my family in a big way. I am so thankful. But now very big decisions have to be made and we need direction.
So therefor I wait and pray for guidance.

Psalm 5:3
In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

Psalm 27:14
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Psalm 37:7
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Isaiah 30:18
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

The Circle of Love

Once along time ago I heard a teaching on love. The teaching explains that all true love comes from the Holy Spirit, a gift , That love is a self fulfilling circle . You receive love from the Spirit, You give love through and on behalf of the Spirit and back again. When you are walking in love life just goes much better. Love covers.
But ...surprisingly we all slip off the track now and again. Lately I have been struggling with some of the people in my life. I am trying to get back in the circle of the Lord's love.
The word tells me The Lord cares for me. I love the Lord. Love covers those I love.
Now, God help me put this in action.

Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.

1 Peter 4:8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,

Psalm 91:14
"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

Psalm 33:5
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.

Heavenly Father....

When I was an infant my father died in a tragic accident. I grew up fatherless for the most part. There were a miserable string of substitutes . None of them worthy of a mention. I really had no idea what a good father looked liked. Let alone a good man. So years later when I was saved.....I realized my Father was there all the time. A great example right there in the spirit. The Word shows us what a wonderful father looks like. Amen?

Isaiah 64:8
Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Psalm 2:7
I will proclaim the decree of the LORD : He said to me, "You are my Son ; today I have become your Father.

Psalm 27:10
Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.

Matthew 11:25
At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

2 Corinthians 1:2
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Be Thankful............

1 Corinthians 10:30
If I take part in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of something I thank God for?

rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,

Rejoice in your Weakness....

When I am weak , He is strong.

Romans 15:1
We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.

1 Corinthians 1:27
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 13:9
We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is for your perfection.

Be Still and Quiet........

The afternoons in my home are everything but still and quiet. By the end of the day I am frazzled.
There are a lot of times in my day where stress takes over. My shoulders tighten and my thoughts are spinning. In the moment I am lost in what's going on around me. I wish in these moments someone would sit me down with these lovely verses. I really love the phrase in  Zep 3:17.....He will quite you with his love...........
Ahhh better!!

Psalm 37:7
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Zechariah 2:13
Be still before the LORD, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling."

Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."

1 Peter 3:4
Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

I Could use a Tranformation.......

I am needing a transformation. I have some important decisions to make. I know the first thing to do is to go to God in prayer. Then find inspiration in The Word.

Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

2 Corinthians 3:18
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Philippians 3:21
who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

1 Peter 4:10
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.

Forgive....................

So, these are some verses on forgiveness. I think it is the hardest thing to do for us sometimes.
I am working pretty hard on it  myself today.
Yesterday afternoon my Husband went golfing with my oldest son. Brian(my son) called last minute for Dad to fill a foursome. After the round they stopped for a beer. No big deal except...it was our anniversary and Dad forgot. So, when he returned home quite late and a little sloshed. He didn't say a word..Not even a oops . I know after 20  years together. It's silly...but my heart is a little broken.
Well on to forgiveness...send prayers please.

Mark 11:25
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Colossians 3:13
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Romans 4:7
"Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

These are some of my very favorite verses. It is so amazing that we gain the power of spirit, and peace in our spirit from the same wonderful place, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

To be Sustained...........

To be sustained by our Lord God.

I love the idea that God supports me.That he bears the weight of my heavy soul. He keeps me from giving way. That he keeps me going. It is Awesome!!  This is the definition of sustain from the dictionary. I very much like the highlighted parts.

The Bible repeats this meaning over and over. So I know it is true!!

The Waiting is the Hardest Part.....

I do not like waiting. I don't like to wait in line. I don't like the waiting room.. anywhere. Waiting for a phone call makes me crazy. I was even one of those parents that paid to have genetic testing to see if the baby was healthy and what gender at 10 weeks into my last 3 pregnancies.  I have just not been very good at it.
Waiting to hear from God, on the other hand, I am getting better at. With age comes wisdom..right?  I have found that things just turn out better if I take the time to wait for God.
Taking the time to pray and practice patients pays off. It is still difficult if I leave God out of the equation. But if I invite him in to the circumstance. It changes everything . I hope these verses help you with "waiting " today.

Proverbs 8:34
Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.

Hebrews 6:15
And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

Psalm 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.

Romans 8:25
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

What Time is It ???

Do you ever have those times in your life where you ask God. "What now..Where do I go from here?" Or when life throws you a curve ball out of the blue. You wonder .. Now what?? Really??   In these verses you find there IS a time for everything.  The timing may be scary but change of season is good.......

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

God's Glorious Grace!!!!

Grace Like Rain....by Todd Agnew
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see so clearly

Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me
Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Chorus

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing Your praise
Than when we first begun

Lighting a Dark Path....

Sometimes we find ourselves on a dark path. Even as believers , doubt and fear can creep in. The path we are on can seem dark and unknowing. I have been on a dark path, many times.  It is in these times we must find courage and direction in our faith.
I like to remember the references to light in the Bible. The LORD will light our dark path. We hold the light in us. Through the Holy Spirit. If we project this light, in faith, through the spirit on our path .Fear and doubt will fade, confidence will emerge.
We can be confident in His light.

The Good Wife

Proverbs 31:10
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

11 Her husband has full confidence in her
       and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
       and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
       bringing her food from afar.
 15 She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls.
 16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
 17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
 22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
 26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
 28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 "Many women do noble things,
       but you surpass them all."
 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
